What should I wear?

It is best to dress in layers just in case you get a little warm or a little cold. We try our best to keep a comfortable temperature for everyone throughout the year.

How do I get to St. Mary's?

We are located at 2100 E. 20th Street, right across from the Farmington Public Library on the corner of 20th Street and Farmington Ave. Here is a map.

Where should I park?

We have parking on both sides of the Church and a large overflow parking lot in the back of the Church. Please do not park under the metal carports, they are designated for Clergy and Staff. Thank you!

Where do my children go?

We believe our kids should also participate in Mass. We understand the challenges of being a parent, we do have a Talitha Room (Cry Room) available in the Narthex of the Church. We do ask that no food be brought into the Church because it attracts unwanted creepy crawlers.

I’m not Catholic, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?

We know it may feel intimidating coming to a new church but we want you to feel welcome. We have books called missalette which will help guide you. They are located in each pew and includes the Order of the Mass and Sunday Mass readings. It states in the Order of the Mass when to sit, stand and kneel and has all the prayers of the Mass also, so you can follow along.

I’m not Catholic, is it okay for me to participate in communion?

As Catholics we believe Christ is truly present in the Eucharist and is not merely a symbol of his presence. We ask that only those who have receive all their Sacraments (Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, Confirmation & Marriage) receive communion. If you would like a blessing, you are welcome to come up during communion, just cross your arms over your chest. If you would like more information on becoming Catholic please call the Office to speak to Deacon Betts.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?
